Meet the Owner

Kelli Irwin is the owner and founder of Karis Rehabilitation. After graduating from Covenant College with a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies, she went on to complete her Master’s in Counseling from Covenant Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri. It was during her time in graduate school that she was introduced to the field of speech pathology and quickly fell in love with working one-on-one and in small group settings with students with a variety of communication needs.

“This was exactly what I was looking for: a career that would allow me to encourage students to meet their full potential in a collaborative, positive environment.”

Kelli quickly transitioned into a graduate program in speech therapy and graduated with her Masters of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from South Carolina State University. Since 2006, Kelli has helped young children and students with a variety of communication needs in the school, home and outpatient settings. She currently keeps an active caseload in Head Starts and schools while managing her business.

“I will never give up working with students. I love the satisfaction of seeing my students make progress toward their goals, and they keep me laughing every day. I get such joy from being a speech therapist. I believe working with students in schools can be such a rewarding experience as a professional and I love to connect quality therapists with wonderful school districts.”

Kelli and her husband Kyle have two daughters. Kelli enjoys spending time with her family, friends, hiking, reading and teaching Sunday School.
